Eunhasu Terms of Service
Published: August 24, 2026 · Effective for new members: August 24, 2026 · Effective for existing members: September 23, 2026 · Version: 2026-08-24
These Terms set out the conditions governing use of the Eunhasu application, website, and related services provided by Eunhasu, represented by Kyounghwan Jung (the “Company”).
Key points
- The Service is intended for users aged 14 or older.
- Permanent ownership is a right to continue accessing content within the Service, not ownership of copyright or the underlying file.
- As a general rule, users may withdraw from a digital-content purchase within seven days. Article 9 explains limitations and rights when content is defective or differs from its description.
- Members may close their account in the app and may appeal moderation actions taken against their posts.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and procedures that apply when users access content and related features provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” means the webnovels, visual novels, webtoons, audio content, comments, notifications, library, achievements, and related features that the Company provides through the app and website.
- “Member” means a user who agrees to these Terms and registers using an email address or a Google or Apple account. “Guest” means a person who uses certain features through a device account before registering as a Member.
- “Content” means works, episodes, text, images, video, audio, and other digital material provided through the Service.
- “Gems” are in-service currency used to access Content. They consist of “Paid Gems” acquired through payment and “Free Gems” provided at no charge through events, rewards, or similar programs.
- “Permanent Ownership” means the right to continue accessing the relevant Content through the account while the Service is available. It does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying file.
Article 3 (Publication, Explanation, and Changes to the Terms)
- The Company makes these Terms available before registration and clearly presents important provisions concerning contracts, payments, withdrawal rights, and Service restrictions. The full Terms are available through “View” on the registration screen, in the app settings, and on the website.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. As a general rule, it will announce the reason and effective date at least seven days in advance. Changes that are material or unfavorable to Members will be announced at least 30 days in advance through reasonable means such as an in-app notice or email.
- The Company will obtain consent for changes where separate consent is required by law. A Member who does not agree may terminate the agreement before the effective date. Any required refund will be handled under applicable law and these Terms.
- The Company will not treat a Member’s failure to object as consent when a change would cause a material disadvantage to that Member.
Article 4 (Registration and Accounts)
- An agreement to use the Service is formed when an applicant provides accurate information, agrees to the required terms, and the Company accepts the application.
- The Service is intended for users aged 14 or older. A person under 14 may not register unless and until the Company provides a process for obtaining consent from a legal representative.
- The Company may refuse registration or later restrict use where it reasonably expects identity theft, false information, repeated abusive registrations, or a material technical or operational disruption. Where possible, the Company will explain the reason.
- Some features, including account recovery, may be restricted until email verification is completed.
- A Guest may lose locally stored information when changing, deleting, or resetting a device. Registration and login may be required for account-based features such as purchases, Permanent Ownership, and achievements.
Article 5 (Account Management)
- Members must keep their account information accurate and secure their password and device.
- Members may not transfer, lend, or sell an account or use another person’s account.
- A Member must promptly contact customer support upon learning of theft or unauthorized use. To the extent the Company is not at fault, the Member may be responsible for loss caused by the Member’s failure to secure the account.
Article 6 (Provision of the Service and Content)
- For each work, the Company may offer free access, time-limited rental, access after viewing an advertisement, Gem purchases, Permanent Ownership of episodes, or passes. The price, period, and conditions will be displayed before purchase.
- An episode opened for free or through an advertisement may lock again after the displayed period. Permanently Owned Content is linked to the account and may be accessed while normal use of the Service remains available.
- Available features or quality may vary depending on the network, device specifications, operating system, storage space, or the status of an external platform.
- Release schedules, free-access ranges, prices, and methods of delivery may change. Paid access rights lawfully acquired before a change will be protected under applicable law and the conditions presented at purchase.
Article 7 (Paid Gems and Free Gems)
- The price and quantity of Paid Gems are displayed on the payment screen. Payments are processed through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS.
- Free Gems may be granted through attendance rewards, events, achievements, mail, operational compensation, or purchase bonuses. Any expiration date or recovery condition disclosed before they are granted will apply.
- Free Gems are used first for Content purchases, and any shortfall is deducted from Paid Gems. Paid and Free Gem balances and transaction histories are recorded separately.
- Paid Gems currently have no separate expiration date. If an expiration date is introduced in the future, the Company will provide advance notice as required by law and will not unfairly impair rights attached to existing purchases.
- Free Gems are not redeemable for cash. If Free Gems promised to a user become unavailable due to the Company’s fault, applicable law or a separately announced compensation policy will apply.
Article 8 (Payment and Transaction Information)
- The payment amount, product name, period and conditions of supply, and withdrawal conditions are displayed before the purchase is confirmed.
- The app store provider processes the payment method and authorization. The Company verifies purchases and delivers Content and Gems.
- For payment errors or duplicate charges, a Member may contact customer support with the order number. The Company will review its purchase records and coordinate any necessary action with the app store provider.
- Displayed prices may vary by country or payment method due to taxes, exchange rates, or app store policies.
Article 9 (Withdrawal from Purchase and Refunds)
- As a general rule, a Member may request withdrawal from a purchase within seven days after receiving a written or electronic copy of the contract terms. If delivery of Content begins later, the period runs from the date delivery begins.
- Withdrawal may be restricted in circumstances prescribed by law, including where Content has been damaged through the Member’s fault, its value has materially decreased through use or partial consumption, or delivery of digital Content has begun. The Company clearly identifies restricted products before payment and, when required by law, provides trial Content or another measure that preserves the Member’s ability to exercise applicable rights. If the Company does not take the required measures, withdrawal will not be restricted.
- If a Member has used part of a divisible Paid Gem balance, eligibility for a refund of the unused portion and any deduction will be calculated under applicable law, the purchase conditions, and actual usage records.
- If a product was supplied differently from its description, advertising, or contract terms, the Member may request withdrawal or other remedies within three months after delivery or within 30 days after learning, or when the Member reasonably should have learned, of the discrepancy.
- After receiving a valid withdrawal request, the Company will begin the refund process within three business days from the date prescribed by applicable law. The date funds are actually credited may vary depending on the app store and payment method.
- On a refund or cancellation, Paid Gems and Free Gem bonuses granted through the payment may be recovered. Any deduction for amounts already used or entry of a refund obligation against the Paid Gem balance will follow applicable law and actual usage records, and the Company will explain the calculation.
- A Member may use the refund process provided by Google Play or the Apple App Store, or send the order number and reason to customer support. App store policies do not limit consumer rights guaranteed by law.
Article 10 (Purchases by Minors)
- A minor must obtain consent from a legal representative before purchasing a paid product.
- A minor or legal representative may cancel an agreement made without that consent as permitted by applicable law. Exceptions apply where cancellation is restricted by law, including when the minor used deception to cause the other party to believe that the minor was an adult or had obtained consent.
- Before payment, the Company informs users that agreements made by minors may be canceled.
Article 11 (Member Posts)
- The author retains rights in comments and other posts created by the Member.
- The Member permits the Company to store, reproduce, display, and reformat posts to the extent necessary to operate and present the Service, process reports, and maintain backups. This license is non-exclusive, royalty-free, and limited to providing the Service.
- When a post is deleted, public display will stop. Limited copies may remain where required by law, for dispute handling, in portions quoted or shared by other users, or during a backup rotation period.
- Members may post only material they are authorized to post and may not infringe another person’s copyright, portrait or publicity rights, privacy, or other rights.
Article 12 (Prohibited Conduct)
- Using another person’s account, personal information, or payment method, or providing false information
- Unauthorized copying, distribution, transmission, or sale of Content, or circumvention of access restrictions, watermarks, or security measures
- Interfering with the Service through automated tools, abnormal requests, data manipulation, or abuse of advertising, payments, or rewards
- Posting abusive, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, sexual, illegal, or spam content, or material that infringes another person’s rights
- Conduct that violates applicable law, public order, or accepted standards of decency
Article 13 (Reporting, Blocking, and Use Restrictions)
- Users may report or block inappropriate comments and their authors.
- Considering the nature, frequency, severity, intent, and harm of a violation, the Company may temporarily hide or delete a post, restrict commenting, or temporarily or permanently restrict an account.
- Where necessary to prevent urgent harm, comply with law, or respond to security or payment fraud, the Company may take temporary action first and notify the Member afterward. In other cases, the Company will, where reasonably possible, provide the reason, duration, and appeal method.
- A Member may appeal through customer support. The Company will review the relevant records again and provide the result.
Article 14 (Intellectual Property)
- Copyright and other rights in the Service and Content provided by the Company belong to the Company or the lawful rights holder.
- A user may enjoy the Content personally and non-commercially through authorized methods, but may not reproduce, distribute, publicly transmit, create derivative works from, or commercially use it without separate permission.
- This Article does not restrict uses permitted by copyright law, including lawful quotation.
Article 15 (Service Changes, Maintenance, and Suspension)
- The Company may perform maintenance, repairs, and updates to provide the Service reliably. Scheduled interruptions will be announced in advance where possible.
- The Company may provide notice afterward when advance notice is impracticable due to natural disaster, telecommunications, cloud or app store failure, a security incident, urgent legal compliance, or another unavoidable event.
- If the Company discontinues the entire Service or a material paid feature, it will generally provide at least 30 days’ notice. Unused Paid Gems and paid access rights that can no longer be used will be refunded, replaced, or compensated under applicable law and the Korean Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards.
Article 16 (Account Closure and Termination)
- A Member may request account closure at any time through Account Management in the app or the Account & Data Deletion page.
- Before closing an account, a Member should check whether unused Paid Gems are eligible for a refund. Closing an account does not automatically submit a refund request; a Member seeking a refund must also use customer support or the applicable app store process.
- When an account is closed, the account and personal information are deleted or anonymized under the Privacy Policy. Author information attached to public comments is anonymized, and the Member may separately request deletion of the comment text.
- Termination for a material violation of these Terms does not categorically exclude any refund right available under law.
Article 17 (Privacy)
The Company processes personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws. The categories and purposes of processing, retention periods, processors, overseas transfers, and methods for exercising rights are described in the Privacy Policy.
Article 18 (Company Liability and Damages)
- If the Company causes loss to a Member by violating law or contract, the Company will be liable as provided by applicable law.
- To the extent the Company is not at fault, it may not be liable for loss caused by natural disasters, the Member’s actions, a network or device, or an independent third-party service failure.
- These Terms do not exclude or unfairly limit liability for the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, statutory warranty obligations, privacy violations, or rights guaranteed to consumers by law.
Article 19 (Notices)
- The Company may notify Members through an in-app announcement, notification, registration email, or Service screen.
- A general Service announcement may be used for matters common to an unspecified group of users. Where possible, the Company will also provide individual notice for matters that materially affect payments, account restrictions, privacy, or contractual rights.
Article 20 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)
- A Member may request resolution of a complaint or dispute by contacting customer support by email or telephone. The Company will consider applicable law, including the Korean Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards.
- For an e-commerce dispute, a Member may seek assistance from a dispute-resolution body such as the Korean Electronic Document and Electronic Transaction Dispute Resolution Committee or the Korea Consumer Agency.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any lawsuit will be brought before a court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act and other applicable laws.
Supplementary Provisions
- These Terms apply to new Members beginning August 24, 2026.
- After prior notice, these Terms apply beginning September 23, 2026 to existing Members who registered before August 24, 2026.
- The previous Terms (Korean, July 23, 2026) remain available.
